Aims, contents and method of the course
Ultrastructure of plant cells using selected examples from seed plants, algae, mosses and ferns, as well as fungi. Principles and techniques in biological electron microscopy (TEM and SEM)
Assessment and permitted materials
(1) a written protocol and (2) active participation. Protocols not delivered in time will be assessed as negative.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Basic knowledge of structure and ultrastructure of plant cells using selected examples from seed plants, algae, mosses and ferns, as well as fungi. Basic knowledge how to use Confocal LMs and EMs
Examination topics
The various scientific, methodological and instrumental aspects of light- and electron microscopy are presented by scientists leading in their field.
