Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This field course aims at analysing the interaction of vegetation, fauna and land management in a selected landscape. By working in small groups particular tasks, such as the documentation of vegetation or the identification of significant land use and land management types and their influence on butterflies and diurnal moths, are addressed. Thus, basic knowledge on methodology is imparted. The week-long field course will be followed by meetings with the group supervisors to analyse the collected data at the University of Vienna. These meetings will be held in August and September 2015.
