Aims, contents and method of the course
The phenomenon of parasitism; pathogens (parasites s.l.) of humans; overview of parasites s. str. of humans: Protozoa, helminths, arthropods; hosts, parasite-host relations; infection and infestation; sources and ways of infections and infestations; life-cycles of important parasites; parasitic diseases: overview; malaria, toxoplasmosis, helminthic diseases; basic facts on diagnosis and therapy
Assessment and permitted materials
Am Ende der Vorlesung schriftliche Prüfung gemäß § 8 (2) des studienrechtlichen Teils der Satzung der Universität Wien.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Regelmäßiger Besuch der Vorlesung. Schriftliche Prüfung mit 6 Fragen. Für das positive Absolvieren müssen 4 Fragen positiv beantwortet werden.
