For many bird species, food availability is strongly constrained in
natural habitats during winter, whereas birds in urban habitats strongly
benefit from feeding by humans. In a comparison between forests in the
Wiener Wald region and urban parks, effects of food availability on the
structure and abundance of bird communities will be investigated.
