Aims, contents and method of the course
In this lecture all European amphibian species are characterized. The chapters phylogeny, zoogeography, ecophysiology, developmental cycles, ethology and ecology are treated. The presentation is supported by several side series, movie passages and tape records. Problems of endangerment and conservation are discussed. Aim of the lecture is to provide a broad herpetological knowledge.
