Aims, contents and method of the course
Conditional expression of transport-proteins (ion channels, carriers and exchangers), Western blot analysis. Cell fractionation, vesicle preparation, physiological measurements of various ion fluxes (Mg2+, Ca2+, K+, etc) with fluorescent indicators; Discrimination between active and passive transport, qualitative (microscopy) and quantitative (fluorescent photometer) determination of membrane potential and pH.
