Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Principles of osteology and odontology of vertebrates with emphasis on mammals and birds, determination of bones and teeth of recent and fossil vertebrates, functional aspects of vertebrate skeletons, methodology and terminology.

Assessment and permitted materials

In Form einer schriftliche Prüfungen am Ende der Lehrveranstaltung. Die positive Absolvierung der Übung zur Paläodiversität der Vertebrata ist dafür Voraussetzung.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ziel ist es erste Einblicke in die Evolution der Vertebraten und ihren Fossilbefund zu erhalten. Die StudentInnen werden einen Überblick über die Baupläne von fossilen Wirbeltieren und ihre zeitliche Verbreitung erhalten

Examination topics

Die Lehrveranstaltung wird als Vorlesung statt finden. Unterrichtsmaterialien können bei Bedarf zur Verfügung gestellt werden
