We will discuss the most important paradigms: How is scientific language characterised? What does it mean to discuss scientific texts in an academic setting? How can I plan a large scientific Text like a thesis or a dissertation? What looks a good research question like? How becomes a text well structured? How can I transform own results and theories in scientific papers?
Additionally some models for planning, timing and dimension of a scientific writing project will be presented, as well as the importance of good text structure- beginning with the content up to the sentence structure.
Within this seminar students will have the possibility to experience writing as an important cognitive strategy of scientific work, and practise a selection of different writing and reading techniques.
