Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Plants use light as energy source and as a souce of information. An important aspect of harvesting light energy is the coordination between nucleus and chloroplast, and the consideration of environmental cues to optimize energy yield. As an information source, light influences photosynthesis and post-embryonal development (photomorphogenesis, reproduction etc.).
Assessment and permitted materials
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The lectures shall convey the basics of photoynthesis, and an overview over light reception and its influence on development and metabolism of plants.
