Aims, contents and method of the course
This lecture is designed for students collecting, managing and analyzing data in the context of their biological work (master thesis, PhD, case studies, projects). Participants will be enabled to manage their own datasets in self designed databases. During the lecture basic concepts will be exemplified, and advantages and shortcomings of databases will be discussed. The acquired knowledge is generally valid and not linked to any specific software.
