Aims, contents and method of the course

Attendants of this laboratory course will work with molecular or chemical methods on current research topics of Microbial Ecology or Chemical Ecology. They will learn how to design, perform, and interpret molecular or chemical experiments.

Assessment and permitted materials

Continuous assessment of course work. Quality of laboratory experiments and written final report.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Introduction to design, performing, and interpretation of molecular biology or chemical experiments. Preparation for diploma/master thesis.

Examination topics

Collaboration in scientific projects, independent performance of laboratory experiments
