Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Students acquire a funded understanding of the basic principles of propagation and development in plants, including sexual and vegetative reproduction, the different types of reproductive cells and organs as well as life cycles. They see the development of reproductive strategies in connexion with the progression from water to terrestrial habitats. Homologies and analogies in the formation of reproductive organs are discussed Furthermore, students are familiar with the analysis of living plants and get a practical training in the preparation and examination of light microscopic specimen.
Assessment and permitted materials
60 Pkt)
