Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

During the lecture the students get in contact with interdisciplinary working. They will be informed about theories and experiments to special biological and physical topics of "Photosynthesis" and they get to know a didactical and methodological framework for a teaching in context. The students work in teams. It is common goal to develop and plan but also to realize a project together with pupils of the secondary school. Their reflections of the school-based experiences are the basis of the presentation at the end of the lecture.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students will conduct defined, previously elaborated and prepared experiments around the topic "sun - energy for life"; with pupils in schools. Thereby, the students will collect experiences for their later everyday life at school. The outcome, personal experiences and challenges will be discussed and critically reflected in a common seminar towards the end of the term.

Examination topics

Didactics, preparation and realisation of experiments together with pupils at schools; common reflection and exchange of experiences between students and teachers.
4-5 blocks at the University and 2-3 visits in schools are planned.
