Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course offers training for the identification of Austrian aquatic invertebrate groups ranging from Protozoa to Bryozoa, based on preserved material. Special keys are provided. In introductory talks information on taxonomy, biology, ecology as well as identification, preservation and sampling techniques are given, and the most important literature is presented.
Exam: written exam (2 hrs), including identification of three specimens and technical questions.
