Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

During this excursion lasting several days an overview of broyphytes in their major habitats will be given. Woods, bogs and fens, gorges, alpine meadows and dry grasslands will be visited. Identification in the field and ecology of bryophytes will be of major importance. The excursion will be lead to silicious bedrocks on Mt. Stuhleck, limestone areas on Mt. Schneeberg and Naßköhr and dry grasslands in the Pannonic area.
Overnight stays will be at an alpine refuge, overall good physical conditions for a several hours lasting walk will be required.
