The seminars will be organised depending on the availability of voluntary contributions/speakers. This means that we cannot guarantee that a seminar will be held on each of the scheduled dates. Therefore, each seminar will be announced in advance to all participants via email, usually one week or half a week before.
Based on the current developments, the lectures will be held on site obeying all necessary Covid safety measures (i.e. "3G" rules: participants must have a valid negative Covid19 test, be vaccinated, or have fully recovered from a Covid19 infection). In case on site lectures will not be possible anymore during the semester, the seminars will be held online. Students will be notified of any changes in due time and a link to the online lectures will be made available in time.

Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this seminar we present and discuss current research undertaken in the Department of Limnology. Yet we also welcome guest presentations from other institutes. We also discuss conceptual papers on aquatic ecology. Assessment and permitted materials
The Assessment is based on the attendance as well as on the rating of a submitted written protocoll, which should consist of a summary and discussion of three talks (not longer than one A4 page). For Students who give a presentation, the assemssemt is based on the evaluation of their talk.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
To earn a passing grade for this course, students have to meet the following requirements:
- presence at at least 75% of the seminars during the semester.
- submission of written summaries of 3 selected lectures (does not apply if a students volunteers to give a presentation).
