Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This lecture examines a variety of senses in humans and animals. Emphasis is on sensory physiology, although other aspects of sensory systems like mechanisms of signal transduction and information processing from stimulus coding at the periphery to neurons and neuronal networks are described. Finally, approaches to new problems in the above fields are discussed which are needed to pursue research in neurophysiology in the future. Written examination.
