Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The students learn geological and palaeontological field methods (e.g. logging and describing geological outcrops).

Equipment for geological-paleontological fieldwork (field notebook, sturdy shoes, hammer, magnifying glass, pencils etc.), as well as sun protection and rain protection clothing is required.

Assessment and permitted materials

Active participation in the fieldwork, drawing and submitting geological logs, submitting a report, final discussion

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Presence is obligatory
Work in the field 25%
Submitted profile 25%
Report 40%
Final discussion 10%

Examination topics

Continuous evaluation during the course based on active participation and the final report.
