Vorbesprechung, verbindliche Anmeldung, Einteilung der TeilnehmerInnen auf die Parallelkurse und Veranstaltungsbeginn am DI 15.10.2013 von 9.00-11.00 Uhr im ÜR 2, UZA 1, Biozentrum Althanstraße 14, 1090 Wien. Bei Problemen mit der Anmeldung kann diese bei der Vorbesprechung nachgeholt werden. Während der gesamten LV besteht Anwesenheitspflicht, die maximal gestattete Abwesenheit beträgt 3 Stunden. Die Vorbesprechung wird bei der Anwesenheit mitgerechnet.
Die LV ist auch für TeilnehmerInnen anderer Studienrichtungen geeignet.
Weitere Termine (alle im Konferenzzimmer Zoologie, UZA 1) sind:
Parallelkurs 1: 21. 10., 10.00 - 13.00 Uhr, 22.10., 11.00 - 14.00 Uhr, 23.10., 10.00 - 13.00 Uhr sowie 08. 11. und 09.11. jeweils 9.00 - 19.00 Uhr.
Parallelkurs 2: 28. 10., 10.00 - 13.00 Uhr, 29.10., 11.00 - 14.00 Uhr, 30.10., 10.00 - 13.00 Uhr sowie 15. 11. und 16.11. jeweils 9.00 - 19.00 Uhr.
Bei großer Zahl Anmeldungen (mehr als 56) kann ein dritter Parallelkurs eingerichtet werden.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introductions for basic elements of communication and presentation, body language, rhetoric and didactic are given: What is a presentation good for? How can one combine tools (e.g., overhead projector, computer...)? What are important do's and don't do's related to presentation techniques?
Interactive elements and short presentations are to give by the participants. In the second part, presentations of the participants are to be filmed and analyzed.

Assessment and permitted materials

Performance assessment is made with presence of participants, cooperation, discussion and single exercises, also one short presentation each participant has to give at the end of the lecture. Appointments for these presentations are fixed during the lecture.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To learn rhetoric and presentation technique, to present in front of an audience in a professional way.

Examination topics

Language is German, but presentations of participants can be given in English or French too.
