Aims, contents and method of the course
Practical course to learn cell biological techniques such as propagating mammalian cells under sterile conditions, transfection, microinjection, fixation, staining, phase contrast and immunofluorescence microscopy and to analyze the basic behavior of cells during the cell cycle, differentiation, apoptosis, oncogenic transformation, and the analysis of the cytoskeleton and nuclear transport.
Assessment and permitted materials
The assessment is based on the following parts:
1) Practical participation in the experiments
2) Written record of the experiments carried out and their results
3) Final exam, in writing, language of the exam: German, English if necessary
