Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Students will learn to address independently a given scientific question in theoretical and practical manners. This includes literature and database searches, presentation of the current state-of-knowledge in the field and proposal of a working hypothesis and its verification.
The thesis may include experimental work in the laboratory as well as bioinformatic studies and should enable successful students to handle smaller scientific projects independently.

Assessment and permitted materials

The assessment is based on the following partial achievements: active participation and result of the experiments, protocol with theoretical background and processing and interpretation of the results.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Compulsory attendance;
- Active participation and results obtained (40%),
- written report (40%),
- theoretical knowledge (20%).
