The preliminary meeting including the division into groups will take place on
4th October 2024, 10am - SR 1, 6th floor, BZB, Dr.Bohrgasse 9, 1030 Wien.
You will be allocated to a supervisor. The respective supervisor will contact you and will provide you with possible topics for your seminar. You will choose a topic and prepare a presentation (app 20 min.) These presentations will take place at the following dates and locations:
9th December 2024, 2 pm; SR 3, 6th floor, BZB, Dr.Bohrgasse 9, 1030 Wien (students allocated to Prof. Moll)
10th December 2024, 2 pm; SR 1, 6th floor, BZB, Dr.Bohrgasse 9, 1030 Wien (students allocated to Prof. Görke)
11th December 2024, 2 pm; SR 3, 6th floor, BZB, Dr.Bohrgasse 9, 1030 Wien (students allocated to Prof. Witte)After the presentation, we will define an open research question. You will then work out a research proposal (5-7 pages), which you will present at the end of the winter semester as follows:

Assessment and permitted materials
Compulsory attendance; the evaluation consists of different performances: quality and completeness of the seminar presentation, active participation in the scientific discussion of the presented publications, written records (the percentage of the subgrades will be announced by the course leader); each of the subgrades must have a positive evaluation.
