Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to basic bioinformatical algorithms, in particular sequence
analysis methods.
sequence similarity; dynamic programming; alignment algorithms
(Needleman-Wunsch, Smith-Waterman, Gotoh, BLAST and FASTA);
multiple alignments; clustering and phylogeny reconstruction; RNA secondary
structures.

Understanding basic algorithms for sequence analysis as well as selected
