Aims, contents and method of the course

The students are able to explain objectives and methods of research data management. The students are able to select and use computational tools for data management and reproducible data processing.
Main topics:
- Research data management
- Repositories (e.g. GitHub)
- Workflow languages (e.g., snakemake, nextflow)
- Containers (e.g., Docker, Singularity)

Assessment and permitted materials

Students actively participate in the seminar discussions. Students prepare one presentation. Students work on exercise assignments in groups.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Three successful submissions of exercise assignments.
