Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this course, you will study bacterial stress response pathways at different levels of gene expression. We will focus on current research questions that are ongoing in my group in order to teach advanced techniques required to study the regulation of gene expression mainly at the translational level (e.g.: in vitro transcription and translation, ribosome purification and analysis, toeprinting).
Assessment and permitted materials
The evaluation consists of different performances: active participation and results obtained, written report, theoretical knowledge including final exam.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Compulsory attendance; - Active participation and results obtained (50%), - Written report (30%), - Theoretical knowledge including final exam (20%); Each of the subgrades must have a positive evaluation.
