Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Practical exercises in cell biology using selected examples. The practical includes culture and manipulation of adherent and suspension cells, fluorescence microscopy, image acquisition and analysis, isolation and biochemical analysis of proteins and protein complexes to address a specific research question (will be introduced at the practical).
Assessment and permitted materials
Mandatory attendance.
The assessment is based on the following partial components of the course:
+) Active participation and result of the experiments (performance share 10%)
+) Written protocol (performance share 30%)
+) written test (performance share 20%)
+) written report in the form of a research article (in English) covering the material of the practical (performance share 40%)
Permitted aids for the written test: own laboratory protocol (internet and smartphone are not permitted), pen.
For the positive grade, each of the partial components must be positive.
