Aims, contents and method of the course

Molecular modelling methods and molecular calculations are introduced
using PC programm packages. Starting with an introduction to Hyperchem and
the ab initio program GAUSSIAN molecular models are designed and the
priciples of molecular geometries are learned from the exercises. In the
second part structures from biological macromolecules are obtained from
the pdb data bank and are represented and analyzed by various methods.
Special attantion is paid to ligand receptor interactions.
