Alle die das Diplomzeugnis noch nicht haben bitte die Voraussetzungen mit Leuchtstift am Sammelzeugnis markieren!!

Aims, contents and method of the course

Receptor binding studies
"Probit Analysis" demonstration
Single intraveneous dose experiments to determine pharmacokinetics
Single oral dose and intramuscular dose experiments to determine pharmacokinetics
Continous and multiple dosing regimens: i.v. and oral application.
Pharmacokinetics of various drugs: multiple dosing regimens, sustained-release oral and i.m. route
Problem of capacity limited metabolism and repeated dosing
Pharmacokinetics in hepatic and renal dysfunction.
Dosing, responses and regimens in patients according to weight and age

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

This course will focus on recent advances in pharmcology and pharmakokinetics. The goal of this course is to provide a strong foundation in practical applications for students enrolled in the "Prinicples of pharmacology and pharmacokinetics" course. PC simulations will allow students to design their own experiments.
