Aims, contents and method of the course

Aim: Additional knowledge for advice in pharmacy. Intensification of physical and chemical knowledge on skin diffusion.
Contents: Skin structure, physical and chemical background of drug diffusion through the skin, penetration enhancers, visualisation of penetration pathways, freeze fracture electron microscopy, transmossion electron microscopy, autoradiography, confocal microscopy, syndets, sunscreens, UVA and UVB filter, physical sun protection, photosensitization, self tanning products, treatment of sunburns, alpha-hydroxy acids in dermatology and cosmetics, retinoic acid in cosmetics, skin whitening ingredients, liposomes in dermatics and cosmetics, vitamins, treatment of acne, treatment of hair loss.
