Objective of the course
Students should be equipped with the basic knowledge of analytic methods in life sciences. These methods are substantial components of pharmaceutical quality control and assurance concerning biopharmaceuticals (proteins, glycoproteins, drugs prepared by recombinant DNA techniques, ...)
Connex to other courses
The knowledge acquired in the lecture will be converted into the practice in the laboratory course 'analytics of pharmaceutical drugs and drug development' (8th semester).
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge in 'bioorganic chemistry', basic knowledge in 'chromatography' and 'methods of pharmaceutical instrumental analytics' (NMR spectroscopy).
