This lecture imparts knowledge on the chemistry of fragrance compounds, their production, their syntheses, their structure-activity-relationships, their classification; then basic knowledge on the sense of smell and physiological data, thresholds, essential oils and volatile oils, resins and balms, fragrance compounds from animals, usage of fragrance compounds and their importance.
