Aims, contents and method of the course

Generation and standardisation of data; validation of methods; types of data; methods of data reduction; probability distributions; test statistics and distributions; statistical tests; pharmaceutical functions; correlation and regression; multivariate classification.

Assessment and permitted materials

written exam, 60% theory (4 questions, 15 points each), 40% examples (2 examples 20 points each); grades: 0-50 points nicht genügend (5; failed), 51-63 points genügend (4), 64-76 points befriedigend (3), 77-89 points gut (2), 90-100 points sehr gut (1); duration of exam: 60 minutes; allowed material: simple calculator, table of formulas as provided in Moodle

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students get an overview on the basic methods for statistical data analysis in pharmacy and are able to apply them on concrete examples
