Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The students have considerable knowledge about chemistry, stereochemistry and structure-activity relationships of the therapeutical relevant classes of drugs. They know the structural basics of the most important active agents and their implications concerning their synthetic accessibility, their analytical ascertainability and their biological activity. The students know the most important methods of computer assisted drug development and have basic knowledge about biophysical methods used in characterisation of a drug-receptor interactions.

Assessment and permitted materials

Modul examination, orally

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Basic knowledge of the structures of the drugs discussed, as well as their physicochemical properties and structure-activity relationships must be available, as well as basic knowledge of the drug classes discussed. The exam is oral.
