Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Students will perform scientific laboratory work for 6 weeks (fulltime) in an external (e.g. a university or a company) or internal (UNIVIE) research facility, where they will learn and apply key methods of drug discovery and development. Students can select from a broad variety of topics but they must be of a clear scientific nature. The timeframe of the laboratory work can be chosen freely in coordination with the internal/external supervisor. Assessment and permitted materials
The grading is based on the fulfilment of the formal criteria as well as scientific quality and content of the final report. The formal criteria are defined in the course guidelines and must be strictly followed.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The performance during the lab rotation (50%) and the report (50%) are graded by the course administration.
Examination topics
The research topic is defined in coordination with the respective internal/external supervisor and the course administration.
Reading list
Students are expected to perform a literature search on the research topic independently.
