Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course will provide overview on assays and methods in drug discovery, screening approaches and in vitro pharmacology, basics of medicinal chemistry, in vitro and in vivo ADME, basics of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and animal disease models used in pre-clinical drug discovery.
Assessment and permitted materials
Multiple-choice test will be done at the end.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
No specialized previous knowledge is needed, since the course starts with providing basic information on the covered topics. The presented material is easy to learn (in the previous semester all participants were able to cover the needed points in the multiple-choice test to get a note “1”).
Examination topics
PDF file with all lecture slides will be provided to the participants. The lecture slides contain detailed information that would be sufficient to prepare for the test (due to this – if some lecture needs to be skipped because of other arrangements – this would not be a big problem, in the latter case the participant would be able to read independently the lecture slides corresponding to the skipped lecture).
Reading list
The provided PDF file with the lecture slides would be sufficient for preparation for the test.
