Aims, contents and method of the course

Qualification objectives
The students are able to:
name the goals and concepts of quality management and assess the benefits for companies
understand the elements of quality management (such as quality planning, quality control and quality improvement) and implement the quality requirements
apply methods to analyse and to optimise quality management
explain how a process-based quality management system is implemented
develop and implement processes-oriented activities

Introduction to quality science, quality management systems, management standards, standards of food safety, HACCP, PDCA-cycle, quality costs, total quality management, quality tools, environmental management and other management systems
Method: lecture

Assessment and permitted materials

Examination: written test in lecture room, 60 minutes , no aids are allowed
Place: lecture room

92-100% mark 1
76-91 % mark 2
59-75 % mark 3
50-58% mark 4
lower than 50% mark 5
