Aims, contents and method of the course
In this lecture series aspects of nutritional sciences pertaining to interesting, sometimes uncommon diseases in internal medicine are analyzed. Presentations are based on case reports seen in clinical practice. Following the case presentation pathophysiological aspects are analyzed and biochemical and metabolic mechanisms as well as nutritional principals are explained and elucidated.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Teaching interdisciplinary approach to diseases in internal medicine with emphasis on nutritional sciences. Elaboration of optimal management in interactive discussions.
