Aims, contents and method of the course

How to find a paper: research and documentation
How to read a paper: types of manuscripts, quality assessment
How to write a paper: manuscript styles and format, rules of citation
How to publish a paper: publication ethics, review process

Assessment and permitted materials

Final written exam, 90 min (multiple choice, minimum requirement: 60%)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students will be able to
use literature databases for their own research
classify studies and experimental designs
summarize and illustrate their own data according to the principles of good publication practice

Lectures on the topics listed above, power point presentations, examples

Reading list

Power point presentations will be available via LMS
Journal articles and reviews on current topics of publication ethics etc. after prior announcement
