Aims, contents and method of the course

Objectives

The students will be able to
- use literature databases for their own research
- classify studies and experimental designs
- summarize and illustrate their own data according to the principles of good publication practice

Contents

- How to find a paper: research and documentation
- How to read a paper: types of manuscripts, quality assessment
- How to write a paper: manuscript styles and format, rules of citation
- How to publish a paper: publication ethics, review process

Assessment and permitted materials

Final written exam, 90 min (multiple choice)
