Aims, contents and method of the course
Introduction to the background of global nutrition policy (justification, concept) and examples for its implementation at regional and national level. Reference will be made to the strategies and problem-oriented interventions of agencies of the UN system (WHO, FAO, UNICEF, WFP, and World Bank).
Assessment and permitted materials
Active participation, quality of the prepared and presented tasks (30 points of 100), discussion and group work including discussion (30 points of 100), and concluding oral exam of 20 minutes (40 points of 100).
Passing criterion = 60 points
(60-65 pts.: 4; 66-75 pts.: 3; 76-85: 2; >85 pts.: 1)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
To acquaint students with the current world nutrition and health concerns and to familiarize them with the basics, methods, as well as monitoring and evaluation of employed strategies and intervention programs and how to develop an action plan.
Examination topics
Introductory lectures by the course leader on the course program topics followed by defined assigned tasks to be prepared, presented and discussed by the students.
Reading list
Used sources of information and a large selection of data presented in the introductory lectures will be provided by the course leader.
