Scientific background, development, specific cultivation methods and legal regulation of Organic Farming. Socio-economic meaning for producers and consumers, nutritional and global aspects.

Written examination at semester`s end

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students should be able to judge on informations on Organic Farming in an objectiv way and are able to know what is the role of products originating from Organic Farming in a scientific based nutition

Examination topics

Overhead, movies, discussion during lecture possible and welcomed. Students should visit the lectures because there is no script. Organic Farming is developing rapidly, therefore up to date information can be given in the lecture only
