Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims:
- methods and physiological backgrounds to identify inadequate nutrition and malnutrition
- measures for prevention and therapy of nutrition-associated diseases
Content:
- Etiology and pathogenesis of nutrition-associated diseases
- Nutritional therapy (obesity, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, gout, cancer, gastrointestinal and renal diseases, food intolerances)
- Pathogenesis and therapy of inborn errors of metabolism
- Digitization in the area of nutritional medicine

Assessment and permitted materials

written multiple choice exam
examination time: 60 minutes

pass mark being 60% of 100 achievable score
91,0 <= P <= 100 very good (1)
81 <= P < 91 Good (2)
71 <= P < 81 satisfactory (3)
60,0 <= P < 71 still satisfactory(4)
0 <= P < 60 unsatisfactory (5)
