Aims, contents and method of the course
Definition, study design and dimensions of nutritional epidemiology; nutritional status assessment: methods and design; dietary assessment; selection criteria, problems and measurement error in dietary assessment; anthropometry; biochemical and clinical assessment of nutritional status; physical activity assessment.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written exam (multiple choice) about course contents.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Statistical knowledge (calculation of means, distributions, ANOVA and similar) as well as basic knowledge of nutrition are requirements for attending the course.
Homework as assigned and at least 60% correct answers in the final test are necessary for a positive evaluation at the end of the course.
