Aims, contents and method of the course

Goals
Students recognise how the topics of their studies are relevant to society.
Students develop competences for their professional future, e.g. use of target group-specific language, communication with steakholders, use of social media and they gain experience for their Master's theses.
After completing the course, students will be able to
- develop research questions and hypotheses
- apply research methods
- conduct a pilot project
- reflect on processes

Contents
Students should empirically test findings of scientific studies on the health goal 7 in specific settings. Theoretical knowledge should be transferred to practical application.

Methods
Prior knowledge should be linked to research methods relevant to the research project. The need for/interest in interdisciplinarity should be recognised. Working in teams should be encouraged and reflected upon.

- active participation and discussion: 20%
- pretest: 10%
- final paper: 30%
pass mark beining: 60%
