Objectives
Students gain a thourough understanding of human physiology, they will have an excellent command of the technical terms of physiology and will acquire in-depth knowledge of physiological functions interrelationsships within the human body. Based upon their physiological know-how, they will be able to adopt that knowledge on selected pathophysiological situations affecting the human organism. In geberal, they will get to know the subject of human physiology as a fundamental scientific discipline within their study of nutritional sciences

Contents
Introduction to terminology of the subject of physiology
Regulatory feed-back loops, e.g. reagulation of acid-base balance
Endocrine physiology
Neurophysiology
Physiology and pathophysiology of heart and circulation
Digestive system, gastrointestinal physiology, regulation of hunger and satiety

Methods
Power point presentations will be available via LMS
Journal articles and reviews on current topics of human physiology after prior announcement
