Aims, contents and method of the course

Theoretical fundamentals: History, function, institutional and structural realities. Institutionalized forms and characteristics of specified advice structures in international comparison. Giving advice a task for economic companies (advice used as vehicle for advertising?)?

The workshop titles will be specified with the starting lecture.

Assessment and permitted materials

Evaluation of the course works with relation to quality of presentation and content, depending on defined problem specifications.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Importance of neutral and objective consumer information for end consumers and its importance within regulatory policies. Market mechanisms and the influence of neutral market information (qualitative and quantitative market transparency) respective functionality of market under aspects of sustainable consumption.

Examination topics

Starting with input concerning the necessary theoretical basics (that means also defining the frame of "what are necessary theoretical basics), the teaching goals should be reached by self-contained working out of the workshop topics by the students themselves. The course works should - depending on specified characteristic - be supported by field or/and literature surveys.

Deepening results will be reached by discussions after presentation of the study.
