Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Using recently published studies students will learn to read papers in nutritional epi-demiology critically and to discuss study design, results and conclusions. They will be instructed in approaching to given papers from different standpoints and will have to discuss their views orally. They also have to develop a study design for a given hypothesis, thus experiencing use and calculation of epidemiological estimates

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The seminar is dedicated to consolidate the knowledge presented in the lecture "Nu-tritional Epidemiology" and will enable students to become familiar with understand-ing and applying epidemiological methods in nutritional science and interpreting the results.

- establishing a problem-oriented study design,
- data collection, evaluation and interpretation.
