Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The following statistical topics/methods are covered and illustrated by examples: Types of studies and experimental design, regression, nonparametric tests, and multiple testing. The use of statistical software (R) is also demonstrated.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam with questions asking for numeric calculations and theoretical questions. A collection of required formulas and a calculator may be used during the exam. The maximal number of points is 24, for a positive grade at least 12 points need to be achieved.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The aim is to learn about essential biostatistical methods. An understanding about the application of these methods in the field of nutrition science should also be gained.
