Regelmäßige Treffen der Englischgruppe finden alle 14 Tage Montag von 13.30-15 Uhr im Seminarraum 2 statt. 1. Termin ist der 8. März. Diese Termine werden zur Diskussion der vorbereiteten Glossare und Wortlisten bzw. für Konsekutivdolmetschung genutzt.

Aims, contents and method of the course

Preparing for lectures given by guest speakers on various topics which will be interpreted simultaneously (dates tba); we will deal with terminology, parallel literature, word lists or glossaries. Preparatory meetings of the English group will be on Mondays from 1:30 to 3 p.m. (Seminarraum 2). We will discuss terminology and do some consecutive interpreting (texts from the same field as lecture).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students should work alone or in teams to acquire the skills needed to prepare thoroughly for the guest lectures from various fields and to use their interpreting skills as well as the vocabulary and background knowledge in practice.

Examination topics

Technical research, parallel literature, analysis, terminology, preparation of glossaries, interpreting technique

Aims, contents and method of the course

Studieninterne mehrsprachige und gelegentlich mehrstündige Konferenzsimulation bzw. betreutes Praktikum - Übungskonferenzen . Richtet sich an Studenten, die bereits mehrere Semester eine Simultanlehrveranstaltung mit Erfolg besucht haben.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Einarbeiten in eine Thematik. Durchpsielen diverserer realer Arbeitsbedingungen, Ausdauer bei der Dolmetschung, Relaisdolmetschen, Zusammenarbeit in der Kabine, Verbesserung / bzw. Arbeiten

Aims, contents and method of the course

Studieninterne mehrsprachige Konferenzsimulation bzw. betreutes Praktikum in internationalen Organisationen in einer studienrelevanten Sprachkombination.

Examination topics

Terminologische Vorbereitung in Gruppen, Weitergabe der erstellten Glossare an alle TeilnehmerInnen. Simulieren einer dreisprachigen Konferenzsituation, Relaisdolmetschen.
