Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Introduction to epistemological and methodological foundations of translation and interpreting research with a view to the completion of an MA thesis in translation and interpreting studies.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written final exam.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Acquisition of basic knowledge in the areas of epistemology and theory of science as well as applied knowledge about methodological approaches such as discourse-analytical procedures and quantitative and qualitative social science methods.
Examination topics
Lecture with opportunity for questions and disckussion, with visual support (PowerPoint).
